Bluff & Barrel

Terms of service

Last updated 25 September 2026

1. Agreeing to these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Taabish Irfan about your use of the Bluff & Barrel game and this website. By installing or playing the game you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not play. These terms and the privacy policy can be opened at any time from the Settings panel inside the game.

Our privacy policy explains what the game collects and forms part of this agreement. Google Play's own terms also apply to your download and to any purchase you make.

2. Who can play

You must be at least 16 years old, or older if the law where you live sets a higher minimum age for agreeing to terms like these. If you are under 18, you should have your parent or guardian read this with you, and you must not make any purchase without their permission.

3. What you may do with the game

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and play Bluff & Barrel on devices you control, for your own entertainment. We keep ownership of the game itself, its artwork, characters, music, code and name. The game is built with Unreal Engine and includes third-party software; the notices that go with it are on the credits and licences page.

You may not sell, rent or redistribute the game, take it apart or attempt to derive its source code, modify it, run it through emulators or tools that give you an advantage over other players, interfere with the advertising it shows, or use any part of it in something else without our written permission.

4. Your profile and signing in

The game creates a profile for you automatically the first time you open it. On a device where you have not signed in, that profile is tied to the device. Your profile is yours alone. Do not sell it, share it, or let someone else play on it.

Signing in with Google. You can attach a Google account to your profile from the Account panel. If that Google account has not been used with the game before, it is linked to the profile you already have: your nickname, your friends and your identifier stay exactly as they are, and from then on the profile follows your Google account rather than the phone. If the Google account is already linked to a profile — because you played on another phone, or reinstalled — the game offers to switch this device to that profile. Switching replaces the profile this device was using; the game tells you this and asks you to confirm before it does anything.

One to one. A profile can be linked to one Google account, and a Google account to one profile. The game will not link a second Google account to a profile that already has one, and will tell you so.

Signing out detaches the device from your Google-linked profile and gives it a fresh, empty profile. Your linked profile is untouched and returns when you sign in again, on this device or another. Epic Online Services limits how many devices can be attached to one profile over its lifetime; if you ever reach that limit, write to us.

Deleting your account is described in section 11 and in the privacy policy.

We are not able to recover a profile that was never signed in if you lose, reset or reinstall on the device it was created on. Signing in is what protects your progress.

5. How to behave at the table

Bluff & Barrel is a game about lying to other players. That is the game, and it is fine. The following is not:

Reporting. If you come across any of this, report the player from their row at the table. Reports come to us through Epic Online Services and we review them ourselves. You can also mute any player at your table at any time; muting only affects what you hear. If something happened that the in-game report does not cover, write to taabishirfan99@gmail.com with the nickname and roughly when it happened.

Restrictions. If we find that a player has broken these rules, we may restrict their profile, for example by turning off their voice chat for a set period, or in serious or repeated cases by suspending or closing the profile as described in section 11. A restricted player is told in the game what the restriction is, when it ends, and a reference number for it.

Contesting a restriction. If you think a restriction on your profile is wrong, email taabishirfan99@gmail.com quoting your player ID and the reference number shown in the game, and tell us why. We will review it and reply, and we aim to do so within seven days. If we agree, we lift the restriction; it takes effect the next time the game connects.

6. Voice chat and nicknames

Voice chat is live and unmoderated. We do not record it and we cannot review it after the fact, which means we cannot verify most complaints about what was said. You are responsible for what comes out of your microphone. You can mute yourself or any other player at any time, and you should assume anyone at your table may be recording independently.

Your nickname is visible to other players. Choose something that is not offensive, not impersonating anyone, and not your real name or contact details. We may change or clear a nickname that breaks these rules.

7. Advertising

Unless you have bought the ad-free upgrade, the game shows ads in two places: a panel on the waiting screen while a table fills, and a full-screen ad between matches. Ads are never shown during a hand or over the revolver. They are supplied through an advertising mediation service and we do not choose, review or control the individual ads that appear. If you see an ad that is offensive, misleading or otherwise objectionable, tell us and we will pass it on, but we cannot promise a particular ad will stop appearing.

Anything you buy or agree to through an ad is a matter between you and the advertiser. We are not a party to it and are not responsible for it.

You may not block, intercept, spoof or artificially interact with the advertising in the game. The privacy policy explains what advertising involves and how to limit it.

8. The ad-free purchase, and refunds

What you are buying. A one-time, permanent removal of advertising from the game. It does not unlock content, change the rules, or give any advantage over other players. Everything else in the game is available to everybody.

You must sign in first. The purchase is only offered once you have signed in with Google, so that the game can restore the upgrade for you on any device rather than tying it to one phone only.

How payment works. Google Play processes the payment. The price shown at the moment of purchase, in your local currency and including any applicable tax, is the price you pay. We never receive your payment details. A purchase management service records the purchase against your profile so it can be restored, as described in the privacy policy.

Where it applies. The purchase belongs to the Google Play account that paid for it — the account signed in to the Play Store on your phone, which is not necessarily the same Google account you sign in to the game with. Each time you sign in, the game asks Google Play whether that Play account owns the upgrade and restores it if so. The upgrade therefore survives reinstalling the game, deleting your account, signing out and back in, and moving to a new phone signed in to the same Google Play account. Anyone who signs in to the game on a phone whose Play account owns the upgrade will see the game as ad-free. The upgrade is not transferable to another person and cannot be moved to a different Google Play account.

Refunds. Purchases are handled under Google Play's refund policy, and a refund request should go to Google Play first. Beyond that, you may have rights under the consumer law where you live that cannot be signed away, and nothing here limits them. If the upgrade does not work after you have paid for it, write to us and we will help sort it out. If we cannot, we will refund it.

If we stop selling it. We may change the price of the upgrade or stop offering it. If we do, anyone who has already bought it keeps it. If we ever remove advertising from the game entirely, that is not a reason for a refund of a purchase already made.

9. No real-money gambling

There is no wagering in Bluff & Barrel, no in-game currency, no prizes, and nothing in the game that can be bought, sold or exchanged for money or anything of value. The only purchase available is the ad-free upgrade described above. The cards, the stakes and the revolver are fiction and exist only inside the game.

10. Availability of the game

Online play depends on Epic Online Services and on your internet connection, neither of which we control. The game may be unavailable, interrupted or changed at any time. We may add features, remove them, or stop running the online service entirely. Practice mode works offline and does not depend on any of this.

11. Ending it

You can stop at any time by uninstalling the game. You can delete your account data yourself from the Account panel, and ask us to remove the profile record as well, as described in the privacy policy.

We may suspend or close a profile that breaks section 5, or that we reasonably believe is being used to harm other players. Where it is practical and appropriate, we will tell you why, and you can reply to taabishirfan99@gmail.com if you think we have it wrong. Closing a profile for a breach does not entitle you to a refund of the ad-free upgrade.

12. What we do not promise

The game is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will be free of bugs, that matches will always connect, that your data will never be lost, or that it will run on every device. Bluff & Barrel is made by a very small team, and we fix what we can as fast as we can. This does not affect any guarantee that the consumer law where you live gives you and that cannot be excluded.

13. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost progress, lost time, or for anything another player or an advertiser says or does to you. Where we are found liable despite this, our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us for the game in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury or fraud caused by us.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of New Delhi have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you live somewhere that gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts or under your local law, this does not take that right away.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and substantial changes will be announced in the game before they take effect. Playing after a change means you accept it. If you do not accept a change, stop playing and uninstall the game.
